New Family in the Lord
In a joyous celebration of faith, three souls – Sister Lynne Marttinen, Brother David Kendell, and Sister Tiffany Kendell – were baptized on October 27th marking a significant spiritual milestone in their lives. Surrounded by family, friends, and members, they publicly declared their commitment to Christ and were warmly welcomed into the church of God.
The welcoming service in Bloor Street Church was filled with heartfelt prayers, and an uplifting message about renewal and grace. Each shared their testimonies about the transformative power of faith and the love of God.
Let us keep these new members in our prayers as they begin their journey of faith, and may their lives continue to be a light to those around them.
The Transfer of Pastor Nicholas Anca and Family to Sweden
Brother Anca and his family have accepted the call to transfer to Sweden, and to help the Work of God in Europe. Pastor Anca’s transfer to Sweden is a great loss to the Church in Canada but will be a great blessing to the Church in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
Brother Nicholas and his family arrived in Canada at the end of the year 2010. He has faithfully served the Canadian Field for 14 years.
An online farewell meeting was held on November 20th to share appreciation and encouragement to the Anca family. The recording of the program is available to watch on Canadian Field Official Youtube (IMS Canada)
The family departed Canada on November 25th. May God continue to bless and strengthen the Anca Family as they embark on a new phase and location of their service to Jesus Christ and the Gospel Work.
New Missionary for Canadian Field
Elder Finagnon Bruno Allamon has arrived in Canada from Benin, Africa, on October 30th. He is starting his service for the Lord in Calgary, Alberta, as a temporary work assignment.
May God bless him richly as he starts his new calling.
Music Day
Music Day Fall 2024 was held with the theme “The Path of Life.” Different age groups – children, youth, families, middle-aged, and older adults – praised God with songs describing grati-tude and trials in their stage on the path of life. The video recording is available to watch on Canadian Field Official Youtube channel (IMS Canada)
Asleep in Jesus
With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our beloved sister Eva Park (April 5th, 1962 – November 5th, 2024). Her life was a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love, marked by faith, kindness, and service to others. Sister Eva touched countless lives through her unwavering dedication and compassion.
While we grieve her earthly absence, we take comfort in the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:8: “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” We rejoice in knowing that Sister Eva now rests in peace with the Lord.
Her legacy of faith and love will continue inspiring us, and we look forward to the day when we will be reunited in heaven. Until then, we cherish her memory and find strength in the hope we have in Christ.
