Diet for Life – Health Seminar

Mad Cow, Avian Flu outbreaks, Stress, Depression, Anxiety and dangerous levels of obesity within children have prompted people to look for practical, healthier alternatives to their diet and lifestyle.

On Sunday March 21, 2004 the church in Toronto, Canada introduced a new seminar series called “Diet For Life” that is designed to introduce people to healthy alternatives that can easily be integrated to their hectic North American lifestyle. The Diet For Life series consists of seminars by industry experts in the fields of medicine, nutrition and fitness. Each event includes vegetarian cooking demonstrations, lectures, including Q&A, on a wide variety of health subjects.

Free Vegetarian samples are provided and additional literature available.

This first Seminar “Introducing Balance Into Your Lifestyle”, included talks by industry experts Dr. Cornelia Radulovisi MD (Europe) ND (Canada) PT (USA) and Ruth Tapia, Fitness Trainer (Canada). Vegetarian cooking demonstrations performed included Juices, Indian cuisine and effective use of Soya.

The goal of the first seminar was to get vistors and members thinking about the alternatives that are available to make informed choices in their life. It introduced the concept of balance that is essential for the human being to maintain health in body, mind and spirit especially in context of an over processed food supply and increased stressors.

We welcomed vistors from the community with hopes that they will find the seminars a blessing, and for some a beginning step towards a balanced and more fulfilling lifestyle.
