Note from the author:

Before my husband and I began eating a green smoothie every other day for breakfast, for about 4 to 5 years, I had problems with regularity (constipation).  But since we are having this, I have no more problems.  It has really helped me a lot. We also sometimes eat a few raw sunflower seeds, almonds, and pumpkin seeds.  This is a light and very nutritious, very healthy meal and it keeps us well until lunch between 12 noon and 1 pm.  Regarding the greens used in this smoothie, both the green and purple kale are among the healthiest and most nutritious plant foods.  Of all the super healthy greens, KALE is the KING!
