Judith T. Aparri, known by the name Joy, was a beautiful Christian woman who very much lived up to her name because she brought joy to many people.
Her daughter (Lovely) compared her to Martha. “She is our Martha in our humble home as she is a very hospitable and accommodating woman.” Joy was a very thoughtful and kind woman who loved missionary work and attended many conferences.
Joy was born in the Philippines on August 16, 1966. Her parents were very dedicated members of the International Missionary Society and raised their eight children in the church. Sister Joy became a canvasser (colporteur) working under Pastor Timonera’s leadership before she was married.
She married Benjamin Aparri on November 4, 1990 and thus her missionary focus was now within her home and her local church. Sister Joy was often elected as a children’s teacher in her local church as she had a great love for children.
Together with Benjamin (Benji), she raised three faithful young children, Lovely, Benjanette and Ivan.
After a long battle with Cancer, on January 20, 2020 the Lord saw it was time for this faithful soldier to lay down her weapons and rest until Jesus comes. We look forward to seeing Sister Joy once again in the near future. Our prayers are with her family and friends who grieve the loss of a dear loved and loving soul. May the Lord bless and comfort them as they seek to carry on her legacy by bringing joy to other people.
