Light-Bearers
Dear Brothers and Sisters (IMS):
Greetings on a sunny Sabbath morning.
Whenever an individual will fulfill in his very soul the antitype of the typical “whole burnt-offering, that is, wholly surrender himself to God, place himself and all he has upon the altar, to be consumed in God’s service, as He directs, that individual… will be covered with the fragrant incense of Christ’s righteousness…”
Paraphrase: If you and I will place ourselves on the altar of God, to let our lives and possessions be consumed as He directs, we will become a light-bearer in this earth.
The faster we let go of ourselves and our possessions, to let them and us be consumed to save souls, the faster God’s work will be done in this earth.
God is waiting for us.
Are we waiting for God?
Strike the iron; make a move, and keep moving. Let’s learn to walk by faith. Let’s experiment with God’s promises and find out if He really means what He says. Matt. 10:9-11
If God’s people will remove the obstructions God will pour out His Holy Spirit upon us. Then the work will go like fire in the stubble.
Sometimes I put a nail in the fire to make it hot so that I can pierce through plastic. Then nail has to be held in the fire long enough so that it retains enough heat to do the job. So let us go to God, and stay with Him until his fire begins to burn. Don’t leave too quick or you will not have enough fire to pierce through anything. Stay until you are thoroughly fired up. Then go quickly to work until you cool off, then return to your source of heat, and get thoroughly fired again.
When all of God’s little children learn to do this, the world will be so warned… and our Saviour can return to take us out of this dark, cold, lonely place.
Let us choose rather to suffer affliction… than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin. Hebrews 11:25; 12:1-4,8-13, 14-29.
Health reform… teach the people. Isaiah 62:7.
