Nature shows God’s love, He created it for us.
In E.G. White’s writings it says, “Nature and revelation alike testify of God’s love. Our Father in heaven is the source of life, of wisdom, and of joy. Look at the wonderful and beautiful things of Nature… The sunshine and the rain, that gladden and refresh the earth, the hills and seas and plains, all testify of the Creator’s love.” –Steps to Christ, p. 1
Every season we can see the amazing changes in Nature. For example, in winter there is soft white snow. In spring there are the colorful flowers and new fresh foods. In summer there is the beautiful singing of the birds especially early in the morning, and in the fall the leaves change into their fall colours.
Everywhere we look Nature is seen, we see the rivers, the ocean, the earth, and even looking above we see the brilliant sun in the daytime and in the night we see the moon and the stars.
In Psalm 96:11–12 it says, “Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy.”
This is all God’s handiwork. It is a gift from Him to us as part of His creation. It shows His unchanging love.
When Jesus was on earth He went a lot into nature to teach the people about the love of God. Sometimes He was on the boat in the sea and sometimes He was in the mountain side.
I thank God for His wonderful creation and on the Sabbath day we can observe it while we rest. It causes us to think of Him.
