Karl was born on September 4, 1922, in Kolomia, Poland

One Sabbath brother Karl came to our church in Toronto, Canada. He had been reading the Bible alone and found that the Sabbath should be kept on the seventh day of the week and not on the first day of the week. Therefore he started searching for a Sabbath-keeping church. He found our church and agreed to Bible studies with me. Weekly we studied the doctrines, prophesies and the practices of the church. His only difficulty was the vegetarian diet. One day he came to the study with a big grin on his face, and said that he had been a vegetarian for one week. Later his wife also joined the studies which we conducted in the church building. After studying with me, he and his wife were baptized into the church, where he remained faithful to the end of his life. He passed away on March 11, 2011.

REMEMBER ME

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow,

but remember me in every tomorrow.

Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,

I’ve only gone to rest a little while.

Although my leaving causes pain and grief,

my going has eased my hurt, and given me relief.

So dry your eyes and remember me,

not as I am now, but as I used to be.

Understand in your hearts,

I’ve only gone to rest a little while.

As long as I have the love of each of you,

I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
